How Your Donation Helps

Your donation helps the Foundation carry out its work in hospitals, in the community, and most importantly, supports young cancer patients and their families in their daily needs.

Please support the Children’s Cancer Foundation!

With your support, we are able to help the whole family in the fight against childhood cancer.

Your donation will help us continue our work in hospitals run by the Hospital Authority, and will provide funding for our Family Service Centre in Wong Tai Sin as well as our Community Service & Rehabilitation Centre in Shek Kip Mei.

In hospitals…
We address the sensitive emotional needs of our young patients by helping them overcome their feelings of fear, anxiety, loneliness and boredom.  We also help doctors improve survival rates by upgrading equipment and facilities in public hospitals, purchasing expensive drugs and prostheses, and funding important research.

In the family…
We help everyone cope with the day-to-day realities of having a child with cancer through support groups, professional counselling and just being there to listen and explain what’s happening and what to expect.

In the community…
We reach out by organising and coordinating exhibitions and talks about childhood cancer as well as distributing publications and newsletters.

The pie chart below outlines how donations are allocated between our various services.
