Patient Support - Social

Through the Foundation's own funding and the generosity of individual donors, the Foundation is able to organize regular activities for out-patients and their families.

These activities, which play an important psychological as well as social role, include local and overseas fun tours (e.g. Ocean Park, Mai Po Nature Reserve, Tokyo Disneyland), summer camps, birthday parties, film shows, variety concerts and shows, special interest courses, festive celebrations and an annual Christmas party.

Toys and gifts are distributed to in-patients at festive occasions such as Christmas, Chinese New Year, Children's Day, and Mid-Autumn Festival.

The Foundation also purchases educational and recreational items whenever required for patients' use in the wards, including books, board games, video and computer games, cordless telephones, combined TV/VCR's and DVDs.
